TOUR QUESTIONS

Ciara

Did you prefer this tour to the first one?
Yeah, I definitely preferred this tour. I was able to be a lot more creative with it. I mean, I loved the last tour but with this one I had more input and more control over it. It was more up-tempo as well which was great. I love ballads but it was really important for me to be able to show both sides of my personality. It’s more fun too.

How did it feel flying over the crowd in ‘Breathless’?
Flying into the crowd was wicked. I’d seen someone else do it and I thought it would be brilliant for my own tour. I asked for it to happen but it wasn’t that simple. We had to figure out whether I was going to fly straight out into the crowd or zig zag. It was great to get so close to all the fans.

Peter Mikeman

Which was your favourite costume of the tour?
Hmmm…probably my first one, the one with the mask that looked like The Phantom of the Opera. The whole section was really epic and there was a track that sampled Vivaldi.

Jess

I was just wandering, which of the songs by other artists did you enjoy singing most e.g. ‘Apologize’, etc?
Well I really enjoyed singing ‘Apologize’ because I know Ryan from One Republic and so it meant a lot. But I think my favourite was probably ‘Could You Be Loved’ – the Bob Marley cover. I asked specially for it to be used as it’s one of my all time favourites.

Faith
Did you have any kind of rituals you did before going on stage?
There is one ritual that I started on the last tour. Right before we go on stage I stand with the team and we all listen to ‘Eye of the Tiger’. Haha…it gets us all energised before the show.

Clare

How did you go about choosing which cover songs to sing on tour?
It was pretty easy to honest. I wanted some more up-tempo numbers this time around so that was always at the back of my mind. Plus the concert was in different sections and it just ended up being easy finding songs to fit into the themes. Like ‘Just Be Good To Me’.

Georgie

What did you think of all the merchandise? Did you buy any?
My merchandise? I get it all free! Haha…But seriously it’s all really important to me as I don’t want my name on a load of rubbish. I personally approve it all. I try and put myself in the fans’ shoes and think if I would like it.

Sue B

Obviously every single venue was very special for you, but what was it like to see your face up in lights at London's O2?
The O2 was really special for me. It was just wicked. I mean I get a lot of support up north but London is the biggest venue I played and you know, there are obviously so many things happening in London every night that for so many people to want to come and see me is very exciting. There were so many industry people there too it was great. I saw Louis and the head of my label too.

Lucie Locket23

Did you get any interesting presents from fans that stand out in your mind?
Well I seem to get sent a lot of Toblerones! I think I must have said I liked them once because now I get sent loads. I’m not really sure why. It used to be Snickers though I think. I should probably say I like electrical gear and see what happens! Haha…

Jenny L

Hi Shayne, are u going to be singing on a live show of X Factor this year?
The X Factor? No, not that I’m aware of. I’m really busy at the moment. I’ve just spent so much time in the US on the new album and I’m kind of booked up till next year!

Little Miss Tina

You always seem to wear a chunky silver ring on your hand - does this ring have special meaning to you and if so, what's the story behind it?
I just really liked it. I bought another one the other day! It’s got a really big cross on it.

Stephy 12345

What was the loudest venue?
Everywhere was really loud to be honest. It was huge! Ireland was massive. I was actually surprised how loud London was. It feels really nice to be accepted. Oh and of course Manchester is always a really important date for me.

Lis xxx

If there was one date of the tour you could do all over again, which would it be and why??
It would be the O2 just because I really loved that night. I don’t think anyone expected it to go so well! Haha…

Jules B

Did you have more than 1 set of stage outfits for your tour?
No, just the one. I would give them all to a lady as soon as I had changed and she’d wash them in time for the next show.

Katy Baby

What are your plans for the future?
I just want to focus on getting the songs right. I’ve got some really big ones for the next album and I’m really excited. I’m looking forward to doing America properly as well. TOUR QUESTIONS
